visited the local Judo club this evening. By a coincidence one of the clubs instructors had visited Hotspur School of Defence the previous evening and expressed an interest in Historical fencing. I'm not certain I can plan to be involved in Judo for any length of time given my back issues. Although I felt pretty fit and confident during the class I can clearly see there will be some challenges ahead with break falling. The same technique crippled me in Aikido and put an end to my participation in that sport.. That said I did enjoy the training and have now found the perfect combination of arts in terms of combat best expressed by the simple term-boxing, wrestling and fencing.
