This “objective” identity seems to have been fully integrated into a cosmic system that was at once perfectly sacred and perfectly worldly. There is no question that the Indian (Re: Palaeolithic hunter gatherers) in the “scared city” felt himself completely at home in his world and perfectly understood his right place in it.
